Question 1

How much does an EV charger installation cost in Wakefield?

Accepted Answer

Typical EV charger installations in Wakefield range from £999 to £1,500 depending on the charger model, cable run length, and any electrical upgrades required. We provide a free site survey and detailed quote before any work begins. Our prices include the charger unit, all installation materials, connection to your consumer unit, and a certificate of compliance.

Question 2

Do I need an EICR certificate?

Accepted Answer

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a legal requirement for landlords in England before new tenancies and every 5 years thereafter. Homeowners are recommended to have an EICR every 10 years, or when buying or selling a property. Businesses should have an EICR every 5 years. The report identifies any defects or potential hazards in your electrical installation and provides a safety rating. Knox Power & Data carry out thorough EICR inspections across Wakefield and West Yorkshire.

Question 6

What is the difference between Cat6 and Cat6A data cabling?

Accepted Answer
